The 1st September is the day in which both AfterAlpineIce and RE-PEAT-it! INTERREG ASP projects officially start!
ALPARC is Lead Partner of AfterAlpineIce. This project aims to better understanding the new ice-free Alpine areas, in a scenario where the Alps are facing more and more glacier shrinking. The project is focused on increase international cooperation across Alps and find common strategies to better protect and communicate the new developing ecosystems. The several protected areas partner of the project will support the achieving of the results, but also their implementation in pilot sites.
ALPARC is also partner of RE-PEAT-it!, a project that, through several pilot areas in the partnership, aims to build and implement a peatland action plan, enhancing the international cooperation to conserve and restore these important ecosystems
Both the projects are potentially essential for protecting and maintaining the functionality of the Alpine ecosystem.

AfterAlpineIce and RE-PEAT-it! are projects co-financed by the European Union through the INTERREG Alpine Space Programme
